Cleveland, Ohio – The Hollywood enigma known as Davey Suicide played the historic Cleveland Agora this past week. The band is at a crossroads as this tour in in preparation for the release of their third full length album ” Made  From Fire ” which is due out next week. The band is currently on an national tour as direct support for co-headliners Combichrist and Dope with September Mourning also as a supporting act on the ” Blood , Lust,Death Tour 2017 ” Due to the support status Davey had a limited set ,however even with the shortened time frame They played three tracks off of the new release ” Made  From Fire ” which included the prophetic ” Too Many Freaks ” which features Twizted on the release in addition to   fan favorites from the previous releases .The closing song of the night was the track that started it , the in your face ” Generation Fu*kstar ”

I was able to get a sneak peak of the new album and without a doubt I can state it is a true masterpiece. Besides the cool riffs and catchy grooves it denotes the musical maturity of an artist that has struggled on the road and in life. The pain and challenges of 21’st century life that we can all relate to in the material. The live show is no different but only better because the real connection that Davey has with his fans is a real tangible object, one that cannot be denied.Such is proof that fans drove thru a blizzard with arctic temperatures such as super-fan November of Columbus, Ohio for which this is her 20th show in about four years.

The  quintessential 80’s musical icon Stephen Pearcy ( former lead singer of Ratt ) will bring his vocal talents to The Kent Stage this March 23, 2017 thanks to the folks at Tap House Concert Productions and The Kent Stage . This is a semi rare appearance as Stephen does not come to town very often and as seen on YouTube he is in peak form to deliver all his hits .I remember being a kid and trying to emulate him from what I saw on MTV .Many years later in 2008  I was booked  to  work with him but my appendix gave out two hours before showtime to off to the ER I went . I had the opportunity to work with Ratt last year but it was not the same with out him , he is the true voice of Ratt and always will be . Tickets are going fast but are still available on on ticketfly and at the Kent Stage Box Office for further information please check out the official site

We will see you there !

The New York powerhouse known as Eve to Adam played to Cleveland fans last week in support of their latest full length release ” Odyssey ” The world famous Agora hosted the evening and the intimate ballroom provided the perfect venue .  Eve to Adam has always had the uncanny ability to connect with the audience thru song and their many heralded performances .  I first saw them  in 2012 at the Rock on The Range festival in Columbus Ohio where they delighted thousands of music lovers , approximately 80,000 or so . I next caught them  at the now defunct Peabody’s, on tour with Texas Hippie Coalition to a standing room only crowd . ( please see attached archives material as the end of this article )This time was at the  Cleveland Agora and although it is a more intimate venue they rocked liked it was Coachilla pleasing every fan in the house.

They brought new song for the brand new album ” Odyssey ” along with some fan favorites as well including ” Landfill ” one of our favorites off the new disk and ” Straight Jacket Super Model ” for which I dedicate to one of my ex’s every time I hear it .  In addition ” Locked and Loaded  ” any many more . The best part of this band is the feeling of fun they put out to the audience , just a great night to be alive with great music . The band was joined on tour with direct support provided by Letters to Sylvia and with local support from Erie, Pennsylvania’s own Kevlar who I look forward to seeing in the future again .

The night was filled with power chords and earplugs was the latest fashion statement and with no place to park, the metal community came out to support one of their own . The Metal On Metal radio show hosted by the one and only Bill Peters is one of the true supporters of original music and many bands have been played by him on 88.7 WJCU in the last 35 years . The radio station had a fundraiser over the weekend and the community came out in droves gladly donating a door cover charge in exchange for a night of comradely and music . The headliner on the bill will the Dio tribute band Live Evil which was a powerhouse to be reckoned with .

Opening the night was the vocal powerhouse of Hell and Back and damn I really hope to see them again , what amazing vocals this band has I expect  this band to go far !

The best part of the evening however was seeing people give freely of themselves for something for the greater good . Over $ 1000.00 was reported to be donated to the event and the host Bill Peters stated the event was a success . Until next time keep your ears to the speakers and rock on !
