Coming off the band’s appearance at Europe’s biggest biker city event the Hamburg Harley Days Festival in Hamburg, Germany (on Friday, June 23rd) it is announced The Dead Daisies will return to the U.S. for 3 major U.S biker events and performances that follow up the band’s debut Full Throttle Saloon appearance during the Sturgis motorcycle rally last year.

The confirmed performances are as follows:

Wednesday, August 9th, 2007

The Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, SD

The Easyriders Rodeo in Chillicothe, OH

Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI

“Riding gives you a sense of freedom,” explains singer John Corabi. “When your job, family, and daily pressures of life are weighing you down, you can fire up a bike, get on it and ride, and free yourself of everything. Plus, I think all men have an inner “bad boy” in them, and all women (deep inside) WANT a bad boy, as well. I have to admit I’ve felt a bit “tougher” while I’m riding…that is, until I chipped a nail…LOL.”

In addition to these 3 colossal bike events, The Dead Daisies are working with 12 of the largest Harley-Davidson dealers in the country as part of their Rock N Ride promotion to support their Dirty Dozen National Tour.

This promotion will enable Harley-Davidson owners and customers in the appearance markets to have the chance to win tickets to the bands shows and a chance to meet the band.

Influenced by 70’s and early 80’s rock, The Dead Daisies sound is soulful and accessible – equal parts of Aerosmith, Bad Company and Foreigner: muscular vocals, bluesy riffs, big choruses, powerful melodies and strong hooks. With stellar musicianship and pulverizing live shows, fans worldwide are discovering the band that is bringing back rock & roll!

And with this sort of sound, it makes perfect sense for the band – which features members of Motley Crue, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy – will be performing songs from their highly- anticipated, sweat drenched roof-raising new album, ‘Live and Louder’ (out now!) at several U.S. biker-events this summer.

The band features in their ranks some of the finest rockers on the planet, among them one of the premiere lead guitarists of this day and age, Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio).

He completes a powerhouse line-up consisting of charismatic singer John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Scream), bassist extraordinaire Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), drummer to the stars Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner) and bringing the thunder from down under, Australian rhythm guitarist and founder David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink).

Rock & Roll is indeed alive & well – We’re an American Band!!!

Saliva Prove They Still Have The Metal !

Saliva On stage
Saliva On stage

Cleveland, Ohio – The House of Blues played host to one of the best bands to come out of the 1990’s Memphis, Tennessee’s own Saliva rocked the house to the foundation earlier in the month.  The band has gone thru several line up changes in their career , however this current line up is strong, powerful , talented and ready to rock . The eleven song set included both classics and new material to the delight of the fans. Some of my favorites included ” Superstar ” and ” Click Click Boom” and ” Your Disease ”    The song ” Trust ” always meant something special to me as well . The other bands on the bill included Akron’s own Devil Strip and The Everyday Losers and both acts did a great job .

I am often asked what I think of replacement members in bands and here is my official statement on that . Name one company you know that has had the same personal for close to 20 years . A band is not just a brotherhood it is also a business and people change , move on and explore other venues so to them I say just enjoy the music.

The current line up is

Laure Live 2017 -A Festival For All

The organizers could write the book on how to put on a top notch festival !

Chesterland ,Ohio-The folks at Laure Live 2017 really know what they are doing. The minute you walk  onto the grounds you can actually feel the difference between this and other music festivals . Yes you had to empty   your  water container but you replaced it with ice cold spring water all through the day .Instead of the regular concert food fair you had a choice of amazing food trucks with a healthier alternative to the regular blah festival food .Instead of just arena grounds you had this sprawling mecca of nature and some of the best unique vendors to peruse  in between bands. Some of my favorites were BoHo Faux and Love,Hope ,Strength which is  punk rockers joining forcers to help combat bone marrow cancer.Music was well represented by the radio station The Summit FM and movies by the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.

The first artist of the day was directly from Hawaii ,Miss Liv Cargile who put on a wonderful performance to awaiting fans and that is no simple feat especially for a 16 year old .

The only Akron area band was none other than the Shivering Timbers who I saw a couple of years ago and was glad to see on the bill !

Some of the other acts of the day were Austin Plaine ,The Arkells ,Cobi  and Johnny Swim who all gave great performances .

The only disadvantageous condition was that it was too hot that day but as good as the promoters were even they could not control the weather . If you decided to only one festival next year I highly recommend Laure Live . A festival for the young and the young at heart . Pennsylvania hard rock band KEVLAR have just signed with CB Entertainment for representation. With that, launching a brand new music video. The hard-hitting rendition of Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse”. Heading to Michigan, the single was produced and recorded with Nick Sampson (Asking Alexandria, Born Of Osiris, Miss May I). KEVLAR have just won the Hard Rock Battle of the Bands: Niagara Falls Edition in late May and will advance to the semi-finals. They will also be touring across the United States through the rest of 2017 including a stop at LOUD-N-LIMA Music Festival alongside Bobaflex, Brett Michaels and more.

As we started to develop our new sound, we thought it would be so fun to mess with a pop song like Dark Horse – flash forward two years later to every show we’ve played where the crowd’s reaction has been priceless!” “Our version of this song seems to have taken on a life of its own and we couldn’t be more proud of it!Kelci Margaret (Vocals)

On joining CB Entertainment:

We are absolutely honored to be welcomed into the CB Entertainment family and are very much looking forward to working with Chris Bianchi and his team! It feels so incredible to find a team with the same amount of passion and love for the music we’re making as we do and now, more than ever, we can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Hard, heavy, powerful, meaningful, and emotionally charged… That’s what you can expect from every song and every live show. Brutal and expansive riffs and beats with soaring vocals that deliver stories of suffering, insecurity, and the struggles we all face in our daily lives. The live KEVLAR experience attacks your senses with a high energy show delivered with a wide range of emotions. This is what we love. This is KEVLAR.

KILLSET RETURN with New Album ‘S.T.F.U.’

killset hallway

KillSET is the combination of a professional, well-oiled, finely tuned metal machine and an explosive, super charged charismatic front man – as evidenced by their upcoming album, ‘S.T.F.U.’ (release date: June 23rd). Having been produced by Eddie Wohl (Fuel, Smile Empty Soul, ill Niño, 36 Crazyfists) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, ill Niño, Sepultura), this sophomore effort is polished and ready to take over the world. The leadoff single/video, “Killers in the Pit,” serves as the perfect introduction to the unique flavor of the band with crushing riffs, shouted vocals, and heavy rhythms.

“’Killers in the Pit,’ is simply a song for our fans, the Killers!,” explains the band. “It’s for everyone that supports our music. It’s for everyone that takes the time out of their lives to come down to our shows and tear up the place with us! It’s about finding a positive and fun way to get rid of that extra energy and stress that so many people feel in their lives. We decided to drop this single first because music needs some flavor right now and we’re bringing that not only with this track, but the whole ‘S.T.F.U.’ album! As it says in the song…let’s show the world!!!”

Other standout tracks include “Tomorrow” and a cover of Kris Kross’ ‘90s hit, “Jump,” which are among the favorites of the band and singer Luca.

Luca: “Tomorrow” is very personal for me because it takes me back to my hometown and what was going through my head before I moved out to L.A.  On a broader scale, it is a song for all those who lay their head down at night and think of what could be.  It’s about taking a chance in this life and following your dreams no matter how crazy they may seem to others. It’s for all those who so desperately want to live their passion, but are afraid to fail. As it says in the song, “There is no tomorrow, I gotta break out now!”

Luca: “When I suggested “Jump” as a cover, I was really surprised the guys were down. We started jamming and messing around with it, and it became obvious that this was the cover we needed to do and that we also needed to go all out and shoot a parody music video!  So I wrote the script and then we went to thrift stores and bought the biggest jeans they had, timberland boots, leather woven belts, boomboxes, jerseys, cross colours clothes and I had my mom send out my old pager and the rest is history…haha. The song came out sick and I think it was by far the most fun any of us have ever had shooting a music video!”

KillSET was created when former ARCM members, James “Jas” Dillon (Drums), Mark Baker (Bass), and Dave Comer (Guitars), combined forces with new singer Luca (Choleric). Instantly, there was an addictive atmosphere in the writing process that could not be denied. The contributions and writing styles of each member perfectly complemented one another’s individual uniqueness, to create a sound that beautifully kills.

KillSET then joined forces with renowned producer, Eddie Wohl (Fuel, Smile Empty Soul, ill Nino, 36 Crazyfists) and completed their debut full-length album ‘Know Your Killer,’ demonstrating their signature sound of pure ferocity and simple beauty. The overwhelming support of the freshman album allowed KillSET the opportunities to share the stage with Fear Factory, Otep, Red, Adrenaline Mob, Flaw, Nothing More, and Saliva.  The band then chose to embark on another musical journey, again collaborating with producer Eddie Wohl, which has culminated in a sophomore effort that will undoubtedly impact anyone who dares to listen. Transcending the current generic norm, the new album, ‘S.T.F.U.’ has a style and flavor that is simply undeniable – which fans will soon hear for themselves.
