LAMB OF GOD propelled heavy metal into the new millennium two decades ago with the prophetically titled New American Gospel. They followed with 2003’s As the Palaces Burn, which made the Rolling Stone list of the Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Ashes of the Wake (2004) was the first LAMB OF GOD album to be certified gold by the RIAA, followed by Sacrament (2006), which debuted in Billboard’s Top 10. Wrath (2009) earned the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hard Rock, Rock, and Tastemaker charts and was No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Those No. 1 positions were repeated with Resolution (2012). VII: Sturm und Drang (2015) debuted at No. 3 in North America and in the Top 5 in several countries. The single “512” from VII: Sturm und Drang received a Grammy nod for the “Best Metal Performance,” making it LAMB OF GOD’s fifth Grammy nomination.
A true collaboration between all members of the band, LAMB OF GOD’s eighth studio album is an amalgam of each individual’s contributions, blended to create a singular style. Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler fuel the album with a mountain of riffs, taking what Lamb of God are known for, and unbelievably, upping the ante to new levels. The rhythm section of John Campbell, looming large as a rhythmic shadow, and drummer Art Cruz, who makes his studio debut with LAMB OF GOD here on this record, underpin the proceedings with passion, sweat and expansive dynamics. Vocalist D. Randall Blythe is as angry, insightful, and informed as ever. Never one to shrink from facing the darker aspects of our nature head-on, Blythe delivers with no punches pulled, and as only he and Lamb of God can in 2020.
LAMB OF GOD‘s co-headline tour with Megadeth plus special guests Trivium and In Flames has been postponed to 2021. For new dates and tickets visit: http://metaltouroftheyear.com

“THE JEREMY EDGE PROJECT” WITH SPECIAL GUESTS RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM

FORMER CANDLELIGHT RED GUITARIST TEAMS UP WITH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT AND  RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM “THE JEREMY EDGE PROJECT”, WITH GUESTS BRANDON YEAGLEY (CROBOT), JOSH SMITH AND BRETT HESTLA
Former Candlelight Red guitarist Jeremy Edge has just released his debut album through Deko Entertainment for his new project, the Jeremy Edge Project. It is available for streaming and download, as well as all major online outlets on both CD and Limited Edition Vinyl. Deko Entertainment president Bruce Pucciarello states this about Jeremy, “Smoothest axe and a complex rediscovery of the bluesy genre that serves as the foundation of all rock.  Jeremy is here to let us know how we are going to drive that car in 2020.  Top down, radio playing the perfect tune.  Crank it up baby…here he goes…”

After 4 top 50 Active Rock singles with CLR, he is breaking a long hiatus by releasing an album that is a departure stylistically with more blues based, guitar based rock. On the stylistic direction, Jeremy says, “I have for years wanted to do something that puts me back in touch with my early influences, growing up and learning guitar – SRV, Hendrix, Billy Gibbons, Blackmore, Iommi, Page etc. But I did not want to do a retro album per se. I wanted this to be a melting pot of influences”, and the critics are taking notice.

“An intro to Firedancer opens with an example of Edge’s innate ability to work around his fretboard with a blistering instrumental segue into Firedancer with a funky riff and soulful singing….The Jeremy edge project is a welcome introduction for this upcoming guitarist and his talented guests. It is a refreshing alternative with solid songwriting .”

The Rockpit

In the coming weeks the track “Firedancer” will be debuted with a full length music video with Edge in the lead vocal position for the first time. Jeremy also enlisted the help of some fellow musicians for this project – Brandon Yeagley from Crobot and Brett Hestla from Dark New Day / Virgos Merlot both sing lead vocals on three tracks, legendary blues guitarist Josh Smith does dueling solos with Jeremy on the track “Lies”, and bassist John Delowery, drummer Dave Shaffer, and keyboardist Jeremy Baum on Hammond B3 organ round out the instrumentation.

The album features 9 tracks – varying from bluesy and soulful ballads to in your face rock grooves with blazing guitar. This album was recorded and mixed by Grammy nominated engineer Mike Feretti (Sevendust, Hell Yeah!, etc…) in Ringwood, NJ – who has also worked with Jeremy in the past with Candlelight Red.

There are limited edition bundles (while supplies last), which can be ordered via: https://tinyurl.com/y6x6ut45

Bundle Includes:
– One (1) The Jeremy Edge Project – “Self-Titled” Vinyl / or CD
– One (1) The Jeremy Edge Project Tee
– One (1) The Jeremy Edge Project Pick
– One (1) Digital Download of “Firedancer”

“Lies” was the first track released from the debut “Jeremy Edge Project” in June, and the lyric video can be seen here:  https://youtu.be/R-u04w7PiBY

“I wanted to do a heavy, slow blues in the vein of “Tea for One” by Zeppelin. Not exactly like that but a similar vibe to it. I wanted it to have the extended, bar room, blues jam type of feel and capture that on record. This song needed 2 guitars to do that!”.

For this track vocal duties were served up by vocalist Brandon Yeagley and additional guitars by blues guitarist master Josh Smith. While Brandon delivers a dynamic vocal performance, Edge and Smith trade leads. Smith, opens the song with a hook on the Telecaster and sets up the ending dueling jam at the end of the song. Edge providing contrast with the Les Paul and wah wah to Smith’s signature tone.

World-Renowned Photographer Mark “WEISSGUY” Weiss’s The Decade That Rocked is Being Celebrated with an Exhibit at Monmouth Museum

Following the release of world-renowned rock ‘n’ roll photographer Mark Weiss’s The Decade That Rocked book, the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, NJ, is now featuring a Mark Weiss: The Decade That Rocked! Exhibit.
Mark Weiss: The Decade That Rocked! showcases onstage and backstage moments and never-before-seen images from the period’s most historic concerts, tours and multiplatinum album covers, all captured through Weiss’s lens. The exhibit also features memorabilia from his private collection and will take visitors through Weiss’s journey on his path to becoming one of the most iconic and celebrated photographers in rock ‘n’ roll.
“We are very excited to have Mark Weiss’s work at the Monmouth Museum,” says Monmouth Museum’s Donna Kessinger. “The show is a snapshot of music history.”
A sold-out opening reception will take place this Saturday, September 12. The reception will feature a performance by members of White Tiger, the first metal band Weiss did a photo session with, fronted by Neal Thomas and guitarist Dan Muro, the legendary band that dominated the early ‘80s Jersey club scene. The pair will perform as The Killin’ Floor Project with noted producer, engineer and owner of Long Branch, NJ’s Shorefire Recording Studios Joe DeMaio.
“My goal is to take this exhibit across the country and speak about my life as a rock ‘n’ roll photographer,” Weiss says. “I have worked on this book for the past five years and now it’s time to share my photos and experiences with the world.”

Mark Weiss: The Decade That Rocked! will run through November 1, with Weiss making appearances at the exhibition on select Fridays beginning on September 18. Visit www.monmouthmuseum.org for tickets and for additional information check out www.thedecadethatrocked.com All visitors will receive a choice of a centerfold of Vince Neil or the Slippery When Wet girl with their $10 entrance donation.

Mark “Weissguy” Weiss got his start in photography as a teen in the 1970s in Matawan, NJ. After getting his first camera in trade for mowing a neighbor’s lawn for the summer, Weiss began sneaking into concerts, and the rest is quite literally rock ‘n’ roll history. He has traveled the globe photographing legends from Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe to Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi and KISS. Weiss’s iconic images capture the artists onstage, backstage, and behind the scenes. He documented historic events including the US Festival, Live Aid, the Moscow Music Peace Festival, and the PMRC hearings in Washington, DC. His photographs have been published in thousands of magazines worldwide, and he is responsible for two of the era’s defining album covers, Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet and Twisted Sister’s Stay Hungry. His inimitable photographs helped craft the visual imagery of rock and metal in the 1980s and beyond.
The Decade That Rocked, released in June, is now in its second print run and boasts over 500 five-star reviews on Amazon. Weiss has appeared on Australia’s Today show and has been featured in The Washington Post, The Daily Beast and Rolling Stone in support of the book.
