Live Review- Jack Russell’s Great White Acoustic Show
Live Music At Its Best !
Akron , Ohio- In what was described as the storm of the year and in all honestly a show that should have been cancelled due to extreme weather Akron was the place to be this weekend if you were brave. The Empire Concert Club and Bar ( not to be confused with the original Cleveland Empire Club from 1990-1991 ) hosted what could only be described as a legend ,Mr Jack Russell ! I have to give props to the Empire as it felt like a rock club , with easy parking and access to the highway and it treated patrons with respect, bravo Empire.

I have been a long time fan of Great White especially the Jack Russell version of it as I have seen them a few times , however this is my first acoustic/ stripped down version of it . Expectations were high to say the least .

Jack and his trusty guitar slinger Robby Lochner hit the stage about 10 pm and didn’t stop for about two hours .The evening was filled with music that everyone loved , almost like a giant sing along with friends and that is how it felt to the audience . The expected Great White songs were played and sung by the master vocalist himself such as “Once Bitten ,Twice Shy ” and ” Save Your Love ” but they also played some of the guys favorite songs by other artists . The rendition of ” Folsom Prison Blues ” by Johnny Cash and ” Going To California ” by Led Zeppelin are some of the best I have ever heard . I have to put this out there right now . Robby Lochner is one of the best and most underrated guitarists I have ever seen .He honestly should be a household name like Slash or Joe Satriani . His ability and graceful playing is a awe inspiring to watch , he makes it look easy .

It is no secret Jack Russell was a party man in his youth and his health has payed the price . He could have just sit at home and soaked up the California sun but the fact that he gets out there and tours and put smiles on faces across the world pays testament to the man he has become. I want to personally thank him for the great songs and to the many moments I sat there and enjoyed his music .If you want to see a music legend and to see the songs performed how they were meant to be done make sure you check out Jack Russell’s Great White when ever they are in a city by you . Live Review – Hair Nation Tour Delivers The Hits !
This is was a night not to be missed !
Cleveland, Ohio – The bands, the sights ,the sounds, and the excitement of the 1980’s came together in a thrilled venue earlier this week . Cleveland’s own House of Blues played host to Sirius XM Hair Nation tour and they could not have picked a better venue. The line up was the perfect cocktail for fun and they brought plenty of it with them.

Enuff Z’ Nuff opened the night with a great mix of new and old songs the new songs off of Diamond Boy were classic Enuff Z’ Nuff such as Diamond Boy and Metalheart along with such hits at New Thing and Fly High Michelle and Baby Loves You. The band was in top form and didn’t skip a beat . I highly recommend checking them out !
Up next were the gunslingers of Bullet Boys. Marq Torien is one amazing front man and guitar player , his energy and stamina is better then players a third of his age , yes he is that amazing . The band was tight as usual and Ive seen them on festivals and clubs and this was a great place to see them at, as it is the perfect intimate size venue for the pure fury that is the Bullet Boys . Smooth up In Ya along with several others were the songs and hits they played .Videos and records do not do this band justice , they must be seen live to be appreciated ,I give them an eleven .

The headliner was none other then Captain Jack himself .Jack Russell’s Great White ( as if there is another ) played to a thrilled audience .To be honest its public knowledge that Jack has had some health issues but with that being said you would not know it from the amazing front man on stage that night .Spinning and kicking and singing the best vocals of the night .The band is amazing with great guitar work from the duel six string demons of Robby Lochner and Tony Cardenas along with a sold bass and drum section . This is one of the true rock stars left . They played all the hits but you should check out the latest’s release ” He Saw it Comin ” by far a top notch act and Jack still rules the airwaves .

If any of the bands are anywhere near you in the future I recommend checking them out it is not something to be missed !
Five Reasons You Must See The Sirius XM Hair Nation Tour !
This is one show not to miss !
Cleveland, Ohio -The Sirius XM Hair Nation Tour arrives at Cleveland’s House of Blues next week and here are the top five reasons you must make it your go to destination Monday night !
1- Nostalgia- Admit it ,you hate getting old. The bills, the jobs , the responsibilities , it makes you long for the days of youth and no responsibility when music was king and world was your oyster. You can relive that, even if its just for a few hours with friends and perfect strangers who you have shared history of music and times.
2- The Line Up – It is literally a who’s who of late 80’s early 90’s music .You can leave the stone wash jeans at home thou but the bands will be bring the hits . I have seen all of the bands before several times and this is one show not to miss .If you want to ” Save Your Love “or just get freaky and ” Smooth Up In Ya ” or just get high on a ” New Thing ” this is the night of hits.

3- Jack Russell’s Great White – This is one of my favorite artists and not just the classics , his latest album ” He Saw It Coming” it one of the best releases in the last two years and it proves to the critics Jack can still sing , he can still write and guess what he can rock n roll better then most of the generation out there.

4-The Bullet Boys – I have seen Marq Torian and the band more times then that I can remember and he ” ALWAYS ” puts on a killer show . Need awesome guitar leads , he has them , killer vocals , yep he has those too, catchy chorus to sing along with , he has you covered its like a one stop shop for rock n roll and if your are not a fan you will be once you see him live !

5- Enuff Z ‘Nuff – The band Rolling Stone listed at the next huge thing ( no one saw grunge coming ) prove why they are still relevant and kick it with classic hits as ” Flying High Michelle ” and ” New Thing ” Chip and the boys put out a new release recently and even thou I have yet to hear it I hope they have copies at the show !
The show is Oct 22 at Cleveland House of Blues and it is one show you can miss , for further information check out the official website at https://concerts1.livenation.com/siriusxm-hair-nation-tour-2018-cleveland-ohio-10-22-2018/event/050054B0C0365F1C

The Pixies Ecstasize Cleveland Agora
Legendary grunge and alt rock band, The Pixies, performed at the Cleveland Agora October 3rd for their North American Tour to promote their new album “Head Carrier”. They played to a near capacity crowd, with hundreds of fans dancing and screaming every word to their favorite songs, maybe even reliving the more carefree days of the 90’s grunge culture. Fans of all ages were there, from surrounding states even, to see them play their strange rock and roll.
The Pixies set list spanned over two decades of their discography. They opened with “Waves of Mutilation“, a track off their 1989 album Doolittle, for which they also played the songs “Hey” and “Debaser”. Their lighting crew was impeccable, green lights for “Gouge Away” just like a show they played in 1990. Flooding violet lights for “Velouria”, which totally matched the mood. The Pixies obviously love their fans as they also played one of their most popular songs, “Where is my Mind”, which was also featured in the cult classic, “Fight Club”. As soon as they played that song, the crowd instantly electrified.
Opening for The Pixies was the American rock band Sunflower Bean from Brooklyn NYC. They had a pretty great, weird punk rock sound to them. Like an indie futuristic Blondie.
Being the Pixies fan that I am, I can probably say this is one of the best concerts of any band I’ve ever seen. What a great experience it is to see the great, creative, and soulful minds behind the music you listen to everyday.

Jack Russell’s Great White Rocks Willoughby Rib Fest !

Willoughby,Ohio- The Willoughby Rib Fest was briefly a step back in time to a bygone era, when musicians wrote and played songs without the use of computers and auto-tune to the delight of fans. The mighty Capt. Jack Russell of Jack Russell’s Great White stopped by the rib fest with his band and proceeded to rock the house . The food and drink were flowing at the fest and fans were awaiting the music while storms threatened to ruin the fun but the rock gods high above said let there be rock and protected us from the weather.

The set started of with ” All Over Now ” and continued for 13 more songs to make this a night to remember. The set consisted of both classic tracks and some news ones off of the new release ” He Saw it Comin’ “including ” Sign Of The Times ” and ” My Addiction “. One of my favorite parts of the show is when Jack Russell explained how ” Save Your Love ” came about and made it on the record.

The crowd favorites were ” Rock Me” and ” Once Bitten ” with a stirring rendition of ” The Immigrant Song ” and two virtuoso level guitar performances by Tony Montana and Robby Lochner.
