Classical Mystery Tour and Cleveland Orchestra Create Magic !

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio – The summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra , Blossom Music Center played host to a night of magic for both old and young and young at heart . One thing that bridges gaps is music and this night was filled of it , I saw families with 90 year old’s all the way down to seven year old’s and smiles abound on everyone .

The evening started when conductor Martin Herman took the podium and like a sorcerer unleashed the magic of the musicians. After a brief teaser the Beatles tribute known at Classical Mystery Tour ascended to the stage and were were all bound back in time .

Some of my favorite songs played were ” Penny Lane” and ” Here Comes The Sun ” My mother RIP only saw one concert her entire life and it was the Beatles back in 1963 and I know she too was smiling looking over Blossom this night .

The band did a fine job of capturing the look and feel of the band thru out their career , be it SGT Peppers era or the Ed Sullivan era . They brought something for everyone .

The Cleveland Orchestra has to commended for the talent and skills of their musicians as one of the finest we have ever seen and it was a unique experience putting rock and classical on the same stage and I works. I think Beethoven was the original rock star ..

The orchestra has a pretty full schedule and we encourage you to check out the official website at https://www.clevelandorchestra.com/ I and the near capacity crowd give this show 4 stars .. We will be back !

Akron, Ohio- The seminal progressive rock group and super producer Alan Parsons stopped by what can only described as the venue to beat all venues yesterday and rocked the house. The Akron Civic Theater was filled to capacity from the front to the back and on top in the balcony .This majestic venue was the perfect backdrop for a night filled with awe and wonder wrapped around notes , scales and melodies.

The night started as a best of as Alan and his band played some of their most well known and loved songs.A total of 24 songs culminating forty years of music delighted fans both near and far as I met people that drove almost five hours to see this performance. The second half of the show was the 40th anniversary of the ” I Robot ” played in its entirety  .

Alan does not just rest on his laurels as he is still writing and recording , teaching   master recording classes and recently won an award. He won reissue of the year from the Progressive Music Awards for ” Eye In The Sky ” and best of all this was a fan nominated and voted award .

Alan Parsons Delight Youngstown Audience

The folks at Sunrise Entertainment brought legendary musician and producer Alan Parsons to Youngstown’s Powers Auditorium last week and he did not disappoint .The crowd was a mixed age of teenagers to the seasoned music goer and everything in between.Patrons from Pittsburgh to Columbus showed up see a night of magic and wonder brought to life in a series of sharp and flat notes dancing magically in the ear drums and on the eyes . Alan Parsons sold over 50 millions records from 1976 to 1986 not including his historical time with both the Beatles and Pink Floyd .That is one resume most artists would be happy with one tenth of the history .

a-img_3694The evening started with the iconic I Robot  and followed with Damned if I do .

The wonderful Don’t Answer me came up next to the delight of the audience

a-img_3519The night consisted of 23 songs all of them hits with out any filler in the bunch , some of my favorites were Eye In The Sky ,Time and Psychobabble .

a-img_3672Some of the best parts of the evening were when Alan tells the audience stories of his adventures or misadventures as it were from the life of an iconic icon .The touring musicians associated with Alan were some of the best we have ever seen each adding their own take on the compositions.

a-img_3630The band consists of PJ Olsson on Vocals , Alastair Greene on lead guitar and vocals,Danny Thompson on drums , Guy Erez on bass guitar , Tom Brooks on keyboards,Todd Cooper on Saxophone and vocals , Dan Tracey on guitars and Manny Focarazzo   . If you ever get a chance to see this act live we highly suggest you do , its a night to remember !
